- Screening the goalie (often a double screen when their defensmen tries to move you)
- Drawing Penalties / Frustrating their goalie and defensemen
- Scoring Tips / Deflections
- Scoring Rebounds
- Creating space for others, because so much attention is paid to the forward in front of the net.
We want our forward in front of the net to be active - skating away from his check to find space, lifting defenseman's sticks, looking for rebounds/tips. Basically the job is to wreak havoc... standing still in front of their goalie isn't the full job.
