One of the ways we can avoid turning over the puck in the neutral zone when we don't have speed is to dump it deep into the offensive zone. Our system will be to aim for the opposite corner, with the call "CORNER" to allow for F2 to get a head start on the race to the puck. We often face goalies who are inept at handling the puck, in which case we can benefit from dumping the puck just a little wide of the far post - This "shot" may lead to an opportunity for F2. Note that F2 enters the zone in line with the faceoff dots and reads the play to gain possession. Besides from the dump in, we also have the option of Regrouping By Passing Back To Our D. These are our two main options when we have possession but are stuck in the Neutral Zone without speed.
